UNEY Goes Green: Taking Practical Steps Towards a More Sustainable Workplace
Discover how UNEY is taking practical steps towards a greener workplace through waste segregation, sustainability, and responsible everyday practices.

Growth is often associated with career progression, new skills, and professional achievements. Yet some of the most valuable lessons are the ones that prepare us for situations we never expect.
Through the Go, Grow, Glow (G3) Program, employees recently participated in a First Aid Training session designed to build practical emergency response skills and strengthen preparedness in critical situations. More than a learning opportunity, the session reflected a broader commitment to developing capabilities that extend beyond the workplace and into everyday life.
Led by a certified instructor, the training combined expert guidance with hands-on exercises — giving participants the opportunity to learn essential first aid techniques and emergency response procedures in a practical and engaging environment. From assessing emergencies to understanding how to respond effectively under pressure, the experience focused on skills that can make a real difference when every second counts.
The value of first aid training lies not only in the techniques being taught, but in the mindset it helps develop. Remaining calm during uncertainty, making informed decisions, and stepping forward to help others are qualities that benefit teams, workplaces, families, and communities alike.
These are the experiences that sit at the heart of the G3 Program. While professional development remains an important part of every employee's journey, growth is viewed through a wider lens — one that includes wellbeing, personal development, and lifelong learning.
By creating opportunities to develop practical life skills, the program encourages individuals to expand their capabilities in ways that are relevant both inside and outside of work. The result is a workforce that is not only equipped to meet professional challenges, but also prepared to contribute positively to the people and communities around them.
The First Aid Training session serves as a reminder that learning can take many forms. Sometimes it is about mastering a new tool, developing leadership capabilities, or gaining industry expertise. At other times, it is about acquiring knowledge that could one day help protect, support, or even save a life.
As the organization continues to invest in its people, initiatives like these reinforce a simple but important belief: the most valuable development opportunities are often those that prepare us not only for better careers, but for greater responsibility.
Growth is not measured solely by what we know. It is also reflected in what we are prepared to do when others need us most.
